A National peace essay writing contest is held once each year under the US institute of peace. The theme and topic for each year’s essay is announced before the applications are collected from writers who are willing to participate. This contest offers cash prizes for the winners as well. The OSCE and the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy at the University of Hamburg, together with Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO University), Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and Vienna Centre for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP), are launching an essay competition to encourage innovative thin.
